The way Fluttershy tries to find Rainbow Dash a pet in episode 'May The Best Pet Win' reminds me of a manga by Matsuri Akino called Pet Shop of Horrors. Here, the Cutie Mark Crusaders try another attempt at getting their cutie marks by getting pets for themselves. In this scene, I have Fluttershy look like Count D from the manga 'Pet Shop of Horrors'.
